Will my diet and workout work?
Solved
Please no links the the BS web-pages or any products.
I am 16 years old. I weight 175 pounds and my height is like 5′10".
OK. Here is my diet. No sodas at all. No sugar in tea too.
Breakfast
2 apples, 1 fiber pill and a cup of black tea.
Lunch
2 Bananas some chicken and a little of herring.
Dinner
1 Apple and a cup of tea.
Few little meals throughout the day like some fruits.
I drink a lot of water too.
OK. Here is my workout.
PE at school like 400 meter run, basketball.
At home I do like 30 minute cardio: steam engines, jumping jacks, rope jumping plus ab workouts like reverse crunches and a little bit of bicycles.
Then a little bit later I go to the gym for a 1 hour 30 min - 2 hours fast walk at 4 miles per hour. Some weight lifting too.
BTW the machine says I burn about 700-750 calories ( is it true?).
So will I lose a little of fat ( it not that much just when I came to USA I ate a lot because of stress so I got like 4 extra kilos haha)
Thank You.

Diet is most important. Eating right means you will need to do less cardio to burn fat. You can do all the cardio in the world and that can easily be defeated by eating bad. 5 meals/snacks daily, small portions, complex carbs and lean proteins, limit red meats, little to no fat/sugar(drink water), no eating after 9PM.
Lots of cardio. Start 20 minute a day 5 days a week, or 1 hour a day for 3 days a week depending on schedule. Do it in the morning before breakfast if possible. Bike or elliptical machine is easier on knees than running. Treadmill is easier on knees than running on the street. Get good running shoes if your are running for cardio. I got a stress fracture in my foot once.

As long as your eating at least 1300 calories a day this might work. But at 5′10, 175 pounds isn’t a lot. I’m 5′9 and when I told my doctor I wanted to get down to 150 pounds, he was furious and went off on me saying that being between 160-175 is the best weight range for that height.

According to the BMI calculation, you may be overweight. However this will depend on your type of body. If you have broad shoulders and an athletic frame, this weight may be ok for you.
The diet you have provided is not healthy or sustainable. I remember what is was like to be 16, and wish all my weight could vanish overnight. I went on a few starvation diets, and lost a lot of weight, but within a few weeks it was back. This is because when the body enters starvation mode, it starts to cannibalise muscles which contain the sugar glycogen. 60% of weight loss could be muscle. This is really bad as the more muscle you have, the more calories your burn. The other side effect to starvation is that your metabolism will slow down. When you break your diet (which you will), all the weight returns, and then some.
I know this is not what you want to hear, but it is a medical fact. Psychologically it is never a good idea to starve yourself. When you break your diet, you will probably feel terribly guilty and miserable.
When you are 16, three months can seem a very long time. But you need three months to lose the weight you want. The good news is that it is a lot easier than you may imagine. You can eat normal meals, but avoid food high in fat, and high in sugar. The aim is to cut out all refined sugar from your diet. Refined sugar is the type of sugar you put in coffee, and you find in some drinks and processed foods.
Eat full meals and try to increase the green vegetables, and decrease things like potatoes.
Eating high carb foods in the evening is something to try to avoid. The problem is that all types of snacking (especially chocolate) become a habit. These habits take a few weeks to break, but it’s by no means impossible. Go shopping and buy some low calorie chocolate drinks (avoiding those with hydrogenated fats). Buy low fat (low sugar) yogurts, and lots and lots of fruit.
You can eat as much fruit as you like, so put a bowl at arms reach at all times. Do not buy
snacks or chocolate when shopping, as if you have them at home, they will be eaten.
If you think you have an under active thyroid, you could also try any supplement containing alkelite.
Do not try to burn calories through exercise, as you need to do an awful lot to make a difference. Your exercise plan is very comprehensive, and will provide you with tone and extra muscle that will increase metabolism. This is the main benefit of exercise. I would try to limit yourself to one hour exercise per day, four time a week. Your body needs time to repair and build muscle.
When trying to lose weight for good, slowly slowly wins the race. If you follow my advise I can guarantee your weight loss, and you can be happy in the knowlede that you will know how to keep the weight from returning. I hope this has helped you a little. I am a qualified nutritionist, if you have any questions, or just need a bit of support, please PM me.

You need more calories than that. It is extremely important to make sure you eat enough. Your metabolism will get messed up if you don’t eat enough. You need a bigger breakfast. Since you have gone through the night without eating your body needs a big breakfast to fuel it for the day..something like eggs, and apple, and oatmeal.
You need more protein in your diet too like chicken and turkey. I suggest buying a whey protein powder from a health store. You take it after your workout and it really helps you get in a good amount of protein. I buy chocolate flavored (1 gram of sugar) and I make a smoothie out of it.
Make sure you are eating healthy food. No junk at all. You need a good amount of protein (chicken, turkey, fat free milk, eggs, etc..), complex carbs (fruits, veggies, whole wheat, etc..), and healthy fats (nuts, salmon, etc..). A diet makes up 80% of your weight loss and overall health while exercise is only 20%..so a healthy diet is very important or you won’t lose much weight.
Limit your fruits. The sugars are healthy but too much natural sugar is bad for weight loss. Have about 2 servings of fruit a day, and then 3 or 4 from vegetables.
Your workout seems very good. Since you are just starting out it will definitely help you lose weight. Once you start to lose weight and get used to it you should start to do other things like running. If you can run right now you should try doing that. I used to be really out of shape and couldn’t run for more than a couple minutes.. what i did was I would run for as long as possible and then walk the rest of the time (30 minutes). After a couple days I would try to run longer, at least by a couple minutes. Eventually I got up to running 30 minutes. But yeah you will definitely lose weight
Don’t listen to the treadmills. They are usually set for a specific height and weight, and are usually not accurate.
