When I have my period, I usually get very bad cramps. I hold a pillow to my body, roll around in bed and cry for 3 days. Well, for the last 5 or 6 months when i go to PE class, we’d start running and i’d get these excruciating pains in my pelvic area. I’d drop to the ground and start crying, while hugging my body it would last for about 10 minutes, then go away. I’ve also noticed that I urinate quite often. About 8 times a day on some days. I’m not sure how often a person should really use the bathroom, and what not..but i thought that mentioning that would be important.
I’m not technically ‘obese’ but I am a little chunky. I’m a muscular girl, and I love to exercise. I know that these pains aren’t caused by ‘not having enough exercise’ because I exercise often. I am a cheerleader, so i’m flexible, and I work out for that.
I did some research on pelvic pain after exercising, and the one thing that came up was Endometriosis. I did some research and my symptoms match with it quite well, actually. I’m also pretty sure that my mom may have had Endometriosis at one time.
I just want to know if anyone has any ideas why I get these horrible pains in my pelvic area after I exercise, I urinate often and i have bad menstrual cramps.
Ideas anyone?!?! HELP, so I can recommend these things to my doctor
to help guide him a little bit..
Thank you!

Endometriosis is best described as pains not cramps. So if the pains that you get during your period are bad but they come and go every few minutes, then they are most likely not endometriosis pains. As for the pain while exercising, some women with endometriosis get pain during certain activities while not menstruating. You should talk to your doctor about it. The only way to diagnosis endometriosis is through surgery. Good Luck!
