I always recommend to everyone to go back to their roots and look at the food pyramid. Its a simple and easy to understand guideline for what you should be eating. And most people know whats good for them and whats not. Cheeseburgers, aren’t great. Whole grain bread is.

They all work -the best one is the one you
can stick to. All diets have similar components,
    though.

    1) WATER!!!!

    2) FIBER

    3) EXERCISE ( yep, still gonna have to do it! )

The diet that doesnt feel like its a "diet" is the best one. The best diet is the one where you include all the foods ( and food groups ) and dont eliminate any foods.

Focus on eating 3 square meals a day and a snack in between if you get hungry.Always eat in moderation, no second helpings. As a rule, make sure you replace 2-3 meals with salads ( with a moderate amount of protein and small amount of fat ). Give yourself permission to indulge in the foods you love 2-3 times a week but do so in moderation.

Combine regular exercise ( like walking, jogging , weights ) on a daily basis and you will lose weight and keep it off AND it wont feel like a punishment.

Make sure you never starve yourself either. Moderation is the key.

    Hi,

Honestly, It is all about ‘way of life’ however consuming less calories per day is most definitely the way to go. On average for women you should not take in more than 1200 per day and for men no more than 1500 per day - that’s if you want to lose. You definitely will lose this way. Possibly have a look at how you are combining your meals and how often you are eating. Have fun slimming down rather than depriving yourself of what you really like.

Saying that you need to ensure your body is getting the vitamins an minerals it is lacking from cutting down. in addition to that, our bodies don’t really get the right amount of vitamins and minerals from eating normally anyway. I am suggesting taking a good vitamin and mineral supplement regardless of what it is you want to achieve.

I have lost quite a bit of weight (100kgs to 70kgs) and kept it off and I have done this by having a Herbalife protein shake in the morning mixed with apple juice and ginger (very delish) I have that for lunch too but possibly another recipe like Strawberry and cucumber shake (also great!!). I have fruit throughout the day and maybe a snack bar. in the evenings i make a low-fat dinner of my choice and I just watch what i put in it but still manage to have fun cooking and making delicious meals. Be creative :)

I am not sure if you are huge on exercise however a brisk walk each morning. That’s great for the ‘love handles!’ A little variety might be just the thing you need to get the scale moving again or bust through that strength plateau. "Variety" means either changing something about your current routine (adding speed, distance, hills, resistance, etc.) or trying a totally different activity. If you like some consistency and don’t want to change your workout each time you hit the gym, change your routine at least every 4-8 weeks (this includes incorporating changes to both your cardio and strength training exercises). This will keep your muscles challenged, your body guessing, and the results coming! However ‘They Say’ that you should change your regime periodically because someone who does the same activity all the time is likely to plateau much sooner than someone who varies her workouts. Just as you can get bored by always doing the same exercises, your body can also adapt to these exercises so that they don’t offer the same benefits that they once did.

I have tons of healthy recipes and exercise tips on my site if you would like to have a look PLUS you can download my ‘7 Days To A Better Body’ e-book for FREE too. There are great recipes and plans there for you to try. If you would like to ’speak’ again please feel free to contact me and I would be happy to assist you :)

I hope this has helped you and answered your question in one way or another.

    Regards
    Dave

All diets do work, but they all don’t work for everyone. One diet may work great for one person, but not for another. You need to find the diet that works best for you. This article should help you out.

The best diet is the one that is easy to in initiate, maintain, and integrate into your daily life. You can lose weight and make fat loss permanent by committing to a more positive lifestyle that emphasizes good food choices, moderate (but regular and consistent) exercise that includes weight training, and 30-40 minutes of continuous activity (like walking) each day.

You’ll want to establish a slight calorie deficit (burn more than you take in) each week, and look to lose 1-2 lbs each week. Your diet program must be sensible, safe, and progressive. There is no need for complicated calorie counting or expensive (and worthless) supplements/juices. Use one of the online calculators to find your baseline calorie level and eat slightly less. Sugar and processed foods are your enemy. Work on replacing them with fresh fruit, vegetables, and solid protein sources.

Instead of thinking about a specific diet, think about a life of making good food choices and engaging in regular exercise and physical activity.

Finally, learn what feelings, behaviors, and situations sabotage your fat loss efforts and work to neutralize them. Emotional eating is mindless eating and you’ll normally reach for processed products that are calorie-intense…and are stored as fat.
