I’m a girl and I want to get into shape, and for the past week or so, I’ve been doing 40 sitting up’s in the morning and 40 before bed. I know it isnt much and its only the begining and I know it will be a while before I actually start seeing results, but what are some other things I can do to strengthen those core muscles?

well I do 50 crunches (very slowly for better results)
25 side crunches on each side
30sec. hold with my legs straight out 6inches over the ground while laying on my back.
25 bike crunches (hands behind head moving your knees in one at a time)
25 Reaches (laying on your back, legs straight up towards the ceiling and reach oppisite hand oppisite foot)
30sec. Planks (laying on stomach and holding your bady up with your forearms on the ground)
Then I just do all that twice….I hope it helps. Trust me it isn’t as bad as it sounds lol.

Hi there, I’m a trainer. You can do a million crunches and still not have abs that show. You need to "look into your diet." And do cardio training. Hit training is better. Eat foods that burn fat around your midsection and youll get get the six pack abs your looking for. here is what i reccomend. http://tw0.us/67t

You are doing the absolute best thing you can. Don’t stop and increase the number every week both morning and night. If you can find a store that sells used exercise equipment and buy a Health Ryder or Sports Ryder (same thing, different price). Make sure it has the Riser and a working counter. They should be inexpensive. With this you will be doing set ups and lifting your own body weight every time you do. You can get into the beat of a song and do big numbers. Your waist gets small, you legs thin and your butt tight. Nothing works as well. 8>}
