i read tons of articles and i finally decided to split my goals to losing belly fat and building muscle at two different times.
i hav decided to lose the fat to show my six pack before i build muscle.
i do jiu-jitsu mon, wed, fri. which it like weight training because we work out on our core and do a lot of total body workouts,i wouldnt call it a cardio workout but more of weight lifting.
then i was going to do two 30 minute run/jog/walk,one in the afternoon and one in the evening every tues, thurs and sat.
would two 30 minute workouts be too much?
but i am not very sure on my diet,i was thinking that i should eat a lot of protein and little calories and little carbs.
Age:14
Weight: 120 pounds
please rate my diet/exercise to obtain a six pack and leave any tips or suggestions on my routines
thank you
my second option is to alternate my routine of building muscle and losing fat every 2 weeks
my muscle building routine is jiu-jitsu mon, wed, fri and weight train tues, thurs. and overeat and minimize fat intake.
and after sticking with the muscle building routine for 2 weeks
, i would switch to the fat lose/six pack training and stick with that for 2 weeks.
shud i stick with option 1 or option 2?
thank you

hey bro. i am about the same age as you and a training martial artist as well (muay thai). you seem to be on the right track, as far as exercise goes, but i have some suggestions on food.
in the morning, for breakfast try to eat some fruits, cereal, yogurt, and water, milk, or a small glass of oj all in small portions. near lunch eat some veggies in small portion. for lunch, i suggest meat for sure, apple or banana, and water. for snack after lunch, get some crackers and cheese so you get carbs and protein. finally for dinner, have a small portion of meat, some salad, veggies, and milk. try not to snack after dinner bcuz that is wen most people tend to eat a lot of food.
follow dis if u want. it works for me.
peace,
J Nap
p.s. dont run 2 much or ull get too tired. always stay fresh. try to run early in the morning at least 2 times a week if u can.

At you're weight, I would not diet to lose any weight. How tall are you? I would suggest protein and SOME fat. Not too much. Remember not to neglect leg raises when doing a core workout. I kinda did for a while and had a great four pack… but the lower abs were not as developed as my workouts were heavy on crunches. Don't go to heavy with your weight lifting either, you're still developing at your age.

The running sounds a little excessive. Dont starve yourself. The protein is a great idea. Eat 6 smaller meals a day. Dont skip breakfast. Breakfast will get your metabolism going. You should start building muscle now. The more muscle you build the more fat you will burn. Work your larger muscle groups. Back, chest, legs. Cardio alone will not change your body shape. Resistance training will change your shape. Good luck. It wont happen overnight so be patient.
