well you don't loose a lot in like a month, like you'd be very lucky to loose a quarter of an inch in 4 months workout routines.
i've lost about 1-2 inches in about 3 years, on normal routine excersizes. If you are not satisfied with your progress you can hire a personal trainor which most people do, weight loss programs, or work even harder.
