Muscle group to raise metabolism?

I quite track a few months ago because it affected my grades, but i noticed im getting much fatter (i was semi-slim before) and i have always had a very low metabolism. Which muscle groups should i raise the most to get a higher metabolism im not very muscular either :(
and if you have any exercises you would like to share that would be helpfull :D
(although i dont have any home equipment)

      Track uses the most powerful muscle group in the body to burn calories. Your legs are the answer: Squats, Lunges, Step-up. I am sure you are familiar with these movements.
