CURRENT WORKOUT ROUTINE (I am 29; M; approximately 140 lbs; and in great athletic shape):
- 3 Days of Intense Cardio (Running 8-9 Miles)
- 3 Days of Intense Upper Body/Abdominal Working Out/Exercise
I am finding that this routine, which I have been doing for years, is sort of burning me out and only giving me one day of rest per week from exercising/working out.
For those personal trainers/serious exercisers, do you think the following will be a decent improvement to my workout/exercise plan and not cause any major changes to my body?:
- 2/3 Days of Intense Cardio (Running 8-9 Miles)
- 2 Days of Intense Upper Body/Abdominal Working Out/Exercise
Overall, I figure that 2 to 3 days of rest per week will be beneficial, allow me to have a better social life, and have me appreciate my routine a bit more.
