Hello all, i have researched on many forums and most people say smoking cigarettes doesn’t affect muscle growth but it does lessen the amount of time you can train, aka your fitness level. But some people say it does affect muscle growth because your body doesn’t deliver oxygen to the muscles while smoking, and the fact that it can ruin your appitite. My question is, these articles are directed to the people who smoke a pack or more a day, i smoke maybe like 1 or 2 cigarettes on some weekends just to sit back and relax. Am i really affecting my lifting? i eat properly and if i only smoke 1 or 2 on the weekends and not during the week which is when i lift should i be fine? i know cigarettes are bad no matter what, but to me it really depends on how often you do it.
Oh and the kind i smoke is american spirits so they are additive free meaning those 4,000 chemicals in regular cigarettes like camel and marlboro aren't in american spirits.
