in three months. I tapered back the meal portions, and did more cardio and now I can barely pinch an inch (maybe just skin) on belly. I now weigh 158-160. I am ready to hit it hard at gym again, and I planning to eat like my first growth spurt. And do the same thing over again while eating 1.5 protein/body weight. I am asking: is this way better (ensure you gain some weight) or should I just add more protein to the meals I am eating, since I am maintaining my weight already. I don't like the belly portion of the growth phase for obvious reasons ( can't see abs as well), but I have read that you will just gain some fat when you are trying to give enough cal/protein for your muscles… What are your opiniions?

Mine opinion is the same. You need excess calories to gain real muscle. There is of ocurse a perfect balance where you are gaining muscle but only adding a small portion of fat but that takes years and year to dial in. It sounds like you have good genetics.

muscle has weight to and it doesn't seem like a bad increase.
