hello

i just started an exercise regimen, that includes basketball,biking and other types of cardio.
because of that i have been having a lot of weid cramps at night and having to take a shower in order for them to go oway.
what type of execise i can do in order avoid getting cramps. are there some type of spray or suplements i can take to avoid cramps?
please help me.

      I don’t know if you are stretching or not before you exercise, but stretching and staying hydrated does at lot to eliminate cramps.

      Sometimes, leg cramps are a result of too little potassium, so make sure you eat a banana or take a supplement with a daily amount of potassium in it. Another source of cramps is dehydration, so make sure you get enough water as you work out! That’s really important. Drink a glass of water an hour before you work out so that you don’t start out dehyrated, and keep a bottle of water handy during your workouts. That might help your cramps significantly. Good luck!

      you need more potassium in your diet. and as for stretching prior to exercise, worthless…you need to warm your muscles up before you stretch or else your doing no good at all!!
