Sombody told me that research was done at harvard and they said that stretching puts your muscles to sleep. So they say stretching out before intense exercise like lifting weights is actually bad for you. They rather recommend doing a warmup set instead of strechting so my question is when is it the best time to stretch?

I may have heard something about this.. it makes some sense, so research it, and just go by that and warm up instead
