is it unsafe to feed senior dog diet high in protein? what do you feed your senior dog?

  yes is not good for them high protien is for high energy dogs hunting ,pups when ur running ect ,not a good idea

  As long as their kidneys are healthy,it shouldn't hurt them,but you would need to have bloodwork done to find that out.I would go with Wellness Supermix 5.

  I have a senior with heart problems which means he most likely have kidney disease at some point.His cardio vet stated the high protein food would not cause him to go into renal failure any more than the lower protein foods
