e.g today i went swimming. I haven't swam whatsoever for well over a month, so would i have burnt much more calories as this is an exercise that my body isn't really used to???
It's just something i heard and wanted to check it's validity.
Thank You!

no a calorie burned is a calorie burned, the only way you could of burned more is if you gained weight (the heavier u are the more caloires are burned)

Yes correct.. lets say you get ur body used to walking on the treadmill everysingle day well you body gets used to just that and doesnt burn as much calories as whn u first began.. and then lets say u switched it the next day to running a longer period than what you walked for for the past weeks.. your body will burn twice the calories..

The same calories are expanded regardless of how long or not you've been playing a sport. However, you use different muscles and therefore have a more balance looking body if you play different sports.
Swimming is one of the best forms of exercises since it combines aerobic and also resistance training.

Because your doing a type of exercise that you do often, your likely to have built up muscles and stamina when doing that exercise.
This doesn't really mean that you burn less calories, on the contrary.
If your doing a regular exercise your likely to burn more calories because your muscle building (running, swimming, weight training) your going to have a bigger body mass and need to have more calories burnt to supplement your body with energy.
