You already know eat lots of protein and get plenty of sleep.

There are specific workouts you can do to gain mass and strength. Check out Rippetoe's Starting Strength workout. Google search it.

Basically you want to do workout that has you lifting heavy weight for short reps.

protein is an essential for muscle development.
do a circuit at the gym. push ups, arm workouts, etc. so that your body can work on different areas.
sleep is also needed because you'll tire yourself out and make it harder for your body to cope with the strain of workouts.
drink lots of water to flush your system and i really dont recommend those muscle builder thingys you buy in chemists. they look a bit dodgy.
      well good luck.

you need at least seven hours of sleep a night to be at your healthiest, mentally and physically. If all you want is more pounds, then drink chocolate milk instead of water. if you are training for football or something, then drinking boost and eating tons of food won't help you at all unless you have an intense exercise regimen. the way muscle actually builds is when you exert them beyond their potential in a strength workout, they tear apart, which is why you feel so weak and sore after. then, when you rest and the nutrients in your blood rebuilds the muscle, it a little bigger than before. so, in other words, the only true way to add muscle mass is through pain, lots and lots and lots of pain.

Well, its good that your dedicated to working out but working out everyday is too much. You should try to lift weights 3 to 4 days a week. Any more then this will over train your muscles and you wont give them any time to repair themselves. Yes, it is true that you should sleep more. Try to get an average of eight hours of sleep per night because that is when your muscles actually grow. To gain weight/muscle your going to want to eat more calories then you burn during the day. Eat lots of steak, fish, chicken, sweet potatoes, brown rice, oatmeal, ect. Try to eat before you sleep, so your body has nutrients it can use to repair your mucles. Also, do not neglect cardiovascular exercise. You wont want to do it too much since doing cardio burns calories that you need to gain weight, but you want to keep your heart in good shape so try to do any form of cardio 30 minutes/ 3 times per week

You don't need to worry too much about your protein intake, but your calorie intake.

Count the amount of calories you eat in a normal day, then try to increase that by about 300 calories or so, after a few weeks if you're not gaining weight, add another 300 calories. Your weight should steadily increase.

I am trying to do the exact same thing. I have to eat about 3300 calories a day. I even have a diet plan a nice Kiwi las made for me, but am yet to start it (I need mum to buy me the ingredients).
