Right now, i don’t eat much meat.Only chicken, but very little of it. Otherwise, my family is hooked on beef jerky, snacks, like buttery popcorn, an baked chips and chocolate.(the chocolate isn’t a problem because i don’t like chocolate) I don’t eat much of this stuff, because who knows how long it has been sitting out, or whose hands were in it.Still, I feel like I am over eating, and this is what i had for a couple of days :( breakfast and lunch is always the same)
Breakfast: strawberry yoplait yogurt
Lunch: THe meal they are serving at lunch, small portions of it though.
Snack: 1/2 of popped popcorn, slit with my sister, apple, and a banana
Dinner: Stouffers Mac & cheese

I usally do 30 minutes of cardio on our eliptical every other day.

      It’s not difficult.
Just cut out all things containing animal products, read the labels.
      Eat fruit,vegetables,seeds, nuts,soya etc.
Buy a good book on nutrition and a couple of good vegetarian cookbooks.
You will feel fitter, your skin will be better and your body will be healthier.
Leave the meat eaters to their heart disease and bowel cancer.

Sorry, but Yoplait yogurt isn’t vegetarian. it has kosher gelatin in it–which means that although it doesn’t have ground bones from pigs, it still can be made from other animals like cows and fish. Find another brand of yogurt such as: Brown cow, stonyfield, the meijer organics brand, and then there are some soy brands. Everything else you ate sounds good, although I don’t really know about the stouffers mac & cheese.

Once you find out what’s veg and what’s not it isn’t difficult. Give your parents a list of specific things to get you at the grocery store and you’ll be fine. I’ve been vegetarian for a couple of months, and once my mom got used to it, it was easy. Here are some good sites to find out what stuff is veg:

That last one is a forum for vegetarians. It can be really helpful when you have questions about ANYTHING that has to do with being a vegetarian. Hope these help, Good luck!

The Vegan Food Pyramid may look somewhat familiar. You’ve likely seen one very similar that’s designed for non-vegans. But the cool thing about the Vegan Food Pyramid is that all the animal foods found in the original pyramid have been replaced with plant foods that contain key nutrients that are very similar to those found in animal products — without a smidge of cholesterol, of course. ;O)

As you can see, some of the food groups have a range of servings. If you’re of small stature or are trying to lose weight, opt for the smaller end of the servings. If you’re of a larger stature, are trying to gain weight, or have a muscular build, opt for the larger end of the servings.

Yes, it’s THAT easy to eat a balanced vegan diet that provides the nutrition you need!
