I am shipping to army basic training July 5 and I am putting together a complete workout that I can do daily to get in the best shape I can. So far I am on muscle gaining shakes from the GNC(they recommended it). I am planning to do a 3 day rotation, day 1 upper day 2 core day 3 lower, I will do that rotation every m-f except Sundays where I rest. Sat I wanted to do strictly running pushups and seat ups. Each day I want to start with a 10-20 min jog/run and end with a 10-20 jog walk. Then depending on the day I will follow the schedule like normal. I have a complete gym to work with, and it has everything I could possibly need. There is no gym staff so no help is available. I am completely knowledgeable with every piece of equipment the gym has so there is no problem there. If you could help by giving me ideas with what each day should contain or what the 3 day rotation should look like that would help a lot. I have 2 hours a day to spare and sometimes I might have a friend to help push me. Thanks again
P.S. this is a re post because everyone thought i was trying to lose weight. i am getting in shape not losing weight. i am heading to basic training not fat camp( i am underweight as is, i am tiring also to gain muscle mass)

make sure you put "mental training" in your workout/rotation. the service loves to mess with new recruit's heads just to see if they can handle the pressure.
it does not matter how physically fit you are if you can't handle pressure too.. Remember that the mind tells the body what to do or not do..

Run run and run some more - you will spend more time on your feet, marching and running than you can imagine. Push ups and pull ups won't hurt either. Thanks for serving!!
