Ok I have basic knowledge about the human body’s growing speed. When your a kid till your a young adult you have growth plates which of course helps your grow. But when your around a young adult the plates fuse and you can no longer grow.

So I’m 13 and I lifted weights for 6 months and have notice a change in height due to my exercise. I’ve notice that I have become 2-3 inches shorter than my friends which use to be shorter than me by 1 inch. So I went for vacation and there I didn’t have weights and therefore didn’t train. Then when I got back to school after 3 months of not train, due to the fact I was too lazy when I got back, I have gotten my height back. So basically my question is: Is it possible that training gets your growth plates to respond and grow your muscles instead of your body?

I’m not sure it’s just growing your muscles and not your body, and you have to remember everyone’s still growing at many different rates, depending on how you work out though, you could lose a few inches.
Just like when construction workers have to carry heavy objects all day for a lengthened time period, they lose a few inches too.
