Our Brand New ACCELERATED Fat Loss Diet!
I’m 13 and a half, weigh 125 pounds, and eat lots of fruits and vegetables, but no meat (I’m a vegetarian). I play football, softball, soccer, you name it. I have a pool in my backyard so in the summer I swim at least twice a day, mostly fooling around but I make a point to swim laps. I never just walk anywhere, I run all the time.
SO WHY DO MY THIGHS JIGGLE SO MUCH? And why does my stomach stick out so much? What can I do to tone my body? Specifics, please. Any changes of diet or exercises I can do? Please help! 10 points to the best answer, you know.
Oh, and I’m 5′8. Sorry I forgot to add that part.

I have a hunch that you are demanding too much of yourself. I seriously doubt that your thighs "jiggle" or that your stomach "sticks out." It sounds a little like the kinds of evaluations that anorexic people make about their own bodies.

When you’re thin it can be hard to build muscle. Body builders tend to eat lots and lots of carbohydrates and protein in a day to keep their muscle mass up. This isn’t exactly right for the average dieter and exerciser, so protein is what you need.
Basically, you have to have something to start with before you can get muscle tone, which is why a lot of people take energy bars, protein bars and protein shakes. Those things will make someone who doesn’t work out heavier while it while make a more active person build muscle tone.
With being a vegetarian it’s my guess that you’re not getting enough protein in your diet. Protein is extremely essential to building muscle. I’ve listed a few links about nice, protein rich foods for vegetarians.
You’re not eating right for somebody who wants to gain muscle. Talk to a dietitian about the best diet for you.
Don’t be alarmed if you do gain weight because muscle weighs more than fat.

Maybe your just being paranoid about your body…
If you eat right and exercise, then there is nothing to worry about!
Nobody is perfect.

There could be two reasons to your lack of results..
1. And this is the most common. You are simply eating too many calories. Even though you are eating healthy, if you eat excess of healthy food, that is as bad as eating excess of junk food.
So most likely all your hard work is being offset by your calorie intake.
- What you need to do is write down everything you eat. Make sure you are not eating second helping of the food even if it’s healthy. You can eat way more calories than you burn.
- Watch your fat intake. Follow a mostly low fat diet for a month and see if that helps.
2. You could be eating too little or just enough and your body has adapted to your routine and wont lose any more weight.
- If #1 does not help you then you are likely in the #2 group.
In that case, eat MORE for a week and then eat less for the next 3 weeks. This is called calorie zig-zagging. This will confuse your body and help it lose weight. BUT , this approach only works if you have the last 5-10 pounds to lose.
More likely you are in the #1 group. We all make this mistake from time to time. We assume that since we are so active we can eat whatever we want. ALso, we assume that if we are eating healthy food we dont need to watch our portions.
So make sure you watch your portions carefully and you should start losing weight in a week.
