i am eighteen years old and about 5′2-5′3. i have always been a little overweight but now that my mom canceled our joint gym membership i gained 10 extra pounds in 5 months! so today i weigh around 175 pounds respectively i already talked to the gym owner and he gave me a good deal to start my own membership so i have taken care of that. my main issue is food. it is just my mom and i and she never cooks. it poses a big problem for me because i always find myself eating fast food… like 90% of the time. even if i eat healthy at fast food places, which i do most of the time, it does not make a difference because i am forced to eat it so often. basically my schedule right now is working at a hair salon as a receptionist three days a week, babysitting three days a week, and currently not in school. but i will be back in school in January. so before then i would like to get a good grasp on my workout/dieting because it will be a lot easier for me to do while im not juggling school, i will continue once i am in school but hopefully by then i will have seen results and established a solid plan. oh and btw, i will be living at home while going to school.
so basically i need ideas on how to eat. i can not cook, i mean i would be able to learn but it would be hard to do so by myself. so i am looking for items i can just put in the microwave and not do much with. and what should i eat for breakfast? lunch? dinner? deserts? i pretty much need all the help i can get. the workout thing i have down, but any good workout routines are accepted too. please help!

I Suggest joining weightwatchers online and try doing the point or the core plan, it works really well, last year i lost about 10 lbs in a short period of time, and i continue to lose it. Weight watchers, not only helps you lose weight but it allows you to have a healthier life style, i am no longer on weight watchers but i am continuing to lose weight.

Omg..I feel so bad 4 you. Being overweight is the worst thing ever. I went through it but made it out by sticking to a wonderful diet. THE ATKINS DIET. You will hear all kinds of bad stuff about it but its just not true. So many people want you to stay fat and will say anything to keep you that way. Just do some research on google. If you want to lose weight do this. Trust me. It saved my life.

A few ideas:
Breakfast:
Muesli or granola or a high fibre cereal, with milk or yogurt. Add some fruit in top, raisins, banana, apple, blueberries…
Lunch or dinner:
Frozen vegetables, microwaved. Top with tomato-based pasta sauce.
For a lean source of protein you could boil some chicken breasts. Just put them in a pot, cover with water and maybe add a cube of chicken soup stock, and simmer (boil gently) for about 20 minutes. Then you can keep cooked chicken breast in the fridge up to three days, and just have a few slices with lunch or dinner.
Dessert: piece of fruit. Cut it up and put yogurt on it if you like. Or just don’t have dessert; it should be considered more of a treat than a daily part of your meal.
You might consider carrying around some balanced meal replacement bars, or granola bars (not the kind with chocolate and marshmallows!), so you can have one when you get hungry but are too busy to stop for food. I find if I let myself be hungry for too long, I’ll end up binging on junk.
The most important thing is to listen to your body and only eat when you feel hungry, not because you’re bored or frustrated or any other reason.
Good luck!

I think what you need to learn is that the food you consume shuld not be about getting skinny, it should be about being HEALTHY. I know it is difficult but you will never achieve your goal through erratic eating patterns an fad diets.
Healthy eating will naturally make you slimmer, give you more energy and perhaps save you from the health problems that are now so common. Fast food and microwave meals are high in sugar and salt,as well as additives that are dangerous in high quantities.
Go get some good advice from a nutritionist and change your habits slowly. It takes time but trust me, changing your habits will help you stay slim for life.
P.S. learn how to cook. It is the BEST way of controlling what you put in your body.

Brisk moving walking will be your best friend. You will lose just because you are moving. Move breath and eat. You will lose weight.
Lots of water is so important to you. Drink it in morning drink it in the evening drink it at supper time. Drink it before bed. Drink water. Drink lots of water. A little squeeze of lemon helps. It is good to clean your body with, inside.
I am not a big microwave cooker, but you can eat really good with minimal cooking. I love cooking so it is hard for me to tell you how to avoid it. But I have some ideas.
Breakfasts that are wholesome and easy.
1. Fruit and yogart. Get the low fat low choleseral yogart and add fresh fruit. A small glass of juice. Turkey bacon 3 pieces.
2. Oatmeal. A little margarine. There again make sure low fat. parkay is the best one I found. Put in some apple pie spice, to your taste. Put in some pumkin pie spice. Sweeten it with molassas instead of sugar, put in cloves, cinnamon, and some nuts. Walnuts or peacans. This will definitely keep you satisfied until lunch. No snacks in btn. You could even cut up some apple in it. There is so much you can do to make oatmeal yummy. Use your imagination, stay away from granulated sugar and white flour as much as possible. This will help with that. Oatmeal is wonderful.
There is farina, and all kinds of wonderful hot cereal. Read the nutrition label
Lunch: My favorite is mozzerlla and tomatoes salad. Oh so yummy. Most deli’s sell it. Some crackers and this salad. OMG!!! yummmy. Just make sure you get good for you crackers. TLC sells really good ones. Don’t make a meal of them either. Only eat about 1 or 2 servings at most. Read the labels to tell you how many are a serving. Read to find low fat stuff.
dinner: Oh the possibilities are endless. The lowest in all bad stuff is turkey. Jennie O has really good turkey breasts, burger etc. It taint no thing to pop a turkey breast in the oven. A little stemed green beans. Maybe a little angel hair pasts. Oh so yummy.
Use olive oil it is the lowest in bad stuff. It will even help your body get rid of bad stuff. Keep it low in fat high in fiber, but watch the carbs. Carbs are everywhere. keep them low.
Eat wholefoods. The more fruits and veggies you eat the better. You don’t have to cook them. Raw veggies are great. If you can, buy fresh stuff in the supermarket. I snack on raw veggies. Yummmmy.
I really hope I helped. Wish you the best. Read everything you can get your hands on about food. You may even find a library and start reading about vitamins and herbs. health food stores are fabulous, but watch it they have a lot of hype and will try to clean your wallet out. Go check out the store do not buy anything. Just look get yourself some questions, then go find it in a book. Ask your doctor. Doctors don’t like health food stores and they don’t like doctors, but don’t try anything without at least talking to doc and getting an opinion.
