Just have plenty of protein and you’ll be fine..whey protein is perfectly safe. You can have creatine but you must be careful with the amount as it can cause liver problems if exceeded.
That depends on the supplement -is it marked with nutrition facts? Is the product approved by the food and drug administration?
If the supplement has nutrition facts, try and look them up -google them!
Check bodybuilder forums and see if there are any reviews of the product there or ask some of the members, maybe they know.
Be sure to check if the product is a supplement to a diet or is it a steroid. Did you buy this in a store or from some person.
Do a little research and decide if this is the right thing for you. If you have any conditions concerning your health -don’t hesitate to check with your doctor.
Or even call anonymously to the food and drug administration (if that is a possibility in your country).
Be cautious of the side effects.
(ANS) as far as I know there are x2 areas for concern:
No.1 Many body building supplements are made from natural products and taken in small amounts wouldn’t normally do the body any harm. BUT many body builders are naive at best and ignorant at worst, supplements taken to excess can and will do great harm to the body i.e. oil based vitamins for example because the body cannot easily get rid of them. Unlike water based vitamins which can pass safely through the body even when overdosed. This is NOT so for oil based vitamins so its entirely possible to overdose on them if your not careful.
No.2 There are many weird & obscure drugs which are taken by body builders some of them are well known & some are very unknown. I’ve worked in a hospital on the ITU and we saw several body builders had that died from the drugs they took. Many of the drugs taken at competition level are NOT meant for body building use anyway.
No.3 A body builder I spoke to many years ago told me that body building was 70% drugs, pills & supplements and diet and only 30% working out in the gym.
**I would strongly avoid supplements & drugs IMO. Working out in the gym or other fitness routines are fine.

Not safe, avoid like the plague.
I know of several people who have died of cancer and they took them for years. Trust me man, it’s dodgy.
