I have been told many different answers but I just didn’t know how many reps and sets I should do with 20lb dumbbells to get bigger muscles. Same with ab workouts, I’m not sure how many I should with those.

This depends on how your body best responds. i would say 8 - 12 reps for muscle growth. however i strongly recomend checking out bodybuilding.com before you start a program. they have amazing programs to get bigger arms and a better body.

I am assuming that you only have 20 pound dumbbells. If that is the case you should do 3 sets of as many reps as you can. With each set you should go until you can’t lift anymore. Rest a few minutes and do it again. The same goes for abs. If you have different sizes of dumbbells then you should do 3 sets fo 8 to 10 reps. When you can do 3 sets of 10 it is time to increase weight.

      I hope this helps.
