im gonna work out this summer for school next year and i wanted to get some abs my work out is gonna be running, crunches, pull ups, and splitting fire wood (thing i do all the time haha) and im gonna be eating and drinking right but i wanted to know do you think i could get them in 3 months? and is there anything else i could do to help out?

Working out, building muscle while keeping fat off your belly is the bottom-line answer here.
Also be aware that muscle makeup depends a lot on you genes during/before puberty. Past about 15-17+ your body is mostly molded by your own efforts.

It all depends on your current shape. You need less than 10% of body fat for your abs to show. If you only have around 15% body fat, you could lose more than 5% body fat with proper diet and cardio exercise in 3 months.

I think that 3 months is a reasonable amount of time, depending on what kind of shape you are in now. Generally speaking, you can expect to lose 1 to 2 pounds of weight a week, so over a 12 week period, that is about 12-24 pounds of weight lost. If, over that time your body fat percentage drops by 3% to 5%, your abs should look better. Of course, all of this is with the presumption that you will be eating right…
