basically do what you just said. Play soccer to be better at soccer. When you run time yourself for a mile and make your goal to beat it. Run sprints and play some drills to up your stamina. Basically just keep active. If you have any weights it is a good idea to lift because not only will it increase muscle which will help in doing a bevy of things for your body you will also be able to strengthen yourself.
