Ya i have done some sports, mostly competitive swimming for 5 years(hated 3 years because of crappy coach. I hate most sports i don’t like the gym because of people that work there and a lot of the people that go there. I have done P.E. at school for 2 years but I am a junior i don’t have to anymore. I don’t like to walk around unless I have certain destination to go to. But I need help is there anything out there.As you can see I am a geek. My parents are going ballistics and I need help.

Try out track and field, you don’t really have to interact a lot with the coach and it will keep you in good shape. Long live the geeks!!!!

Try volleyball, soccer, tennis, basketball, football, baseball.. there’s many sports u can try out.

Swimming, makes me want to smell christmas trees
I love swimming
up basketball is fun, but you have to be a good aimer
and i hate track and field NEVER EVER do track and field, EVER.

wow so i america…i’m guessing, PE is not always compulsory…no wonder you guys are so fat…not that i can talk (i’m an aussie)
but you sound like you’d enjoy hockey (do people play hockey in america)
quite a few geeks play, but it’s still a really good sport, great to watch

Well it really depends on whether or not you have a little money to spend. Personally I like playing paint ball. It’s fantastic exercise and you rarely get bored because the second you do, you get shot and instantly reminded of why you do not want to get hit. The nerdy aspect of it is being able to upgrade you gun and equipment via new bolts, feed ports, barrels etc. I don’t know if its for you but maybe you could look into it.

Play no-rule football or soccer with your friends. You can do whatever but, you are still getting the physical activity and it’s just as fun as a real game.

Indoor rock climbing. Its amazing exercise, and there’s no coach. You can do it competitively or just recreationally. The people are always friendly and often give you suggestions on how to improve etc.
Squash is also a really great sport. It’s supposedly the healthiest sport to play because your legs and arms get a workout from having to stop and start while swinging a racket, and the game is super fast paced so there’s tons of cardio. No coach for that one either. (and a fast paced game burns 800 calories an hour!)
Do it for yourself not your parents. Let your parents nag about something else.

Well, let me tell you from personal experience, exercise is very important and doesn’t have to be that hard. I don’t know if you are over weight or just trying to slim down a few pounds and that could make a differance in how you exercise. Running, to me is the best way to workout. Being in the army has shown me that it can be the fastest way to loose pounds from fat or extra water weight and gives your heart a great workout. you don’t have to run everyday if you don’t want to and you can run at y9ou own pace as long as you make a routine and stick to it! For a good plan try to start with one mile a couple times a week. After you can handle that try running another mile or run a little faster. Running will pay off quick. Make yourself a promise and stick to it. You’ll be very happy with yourself. Good luck!
