Running: I hate running and I know that the best way to get better at running is to run, but I hurt my hip (strained the muscle). Is there anyway to build up muscle or anything without hurting my hip even more?
Push-ups: I'm not all that great with push-ups. On a good day, I can only do around ten. How do I improve those? And I've been trying to just do the ten daily but… hasn't helped in the slightest.
Thanks guys. I need to improve for my upcoming junior blackbelt test.

For the running, you don't have to just run to see a better result. You can get on an elliptical or gizelle (i think that is what it is called, the one by tony little) as for the push ups, just hold the up pose as long as you can and do wall pushups: stand arm-length away from the wall, stand on your tip-toes and perform the push-up routine. for a harder challenge move your feetfurther away from the wall still on your tip-toes.
