I’ve been doing the Gi diet for over 2 weeks and thought all was going well. I initially lost 4lbs in 5 days and expected my 2nd weigh in to be even better. I felt in my body that I had lost loads. Unfortunately, when i got on the scales a week later i had put back on 2lbs!!
I have measured myself and seem to have lost inches but no more weight. I’m a busy mum of 2 with 3 jobs and am on my feet a lot (walk dog too) so more exercise isn’t very easy at this stage.
Anyone suggest why the weight isn’t coming off and inches are? I know that it can’t be muscle gain as i haven’t been working out really. Just a bit disappointed and wanting to suss out the problem before i give up!! Thanks.

Do you look better? If so don’t worry about the scales.

You may well have lost weight - but maybe your hormonal cycle makes you retain water at certain times of the month and you happened to weigh yourself on that second week while that was happening.
If the inches are coming off, you must be losing fat.
