hey. i just started playing the guitar and i was wondering if there are any exercises that REALLY work the muscles that your fretting hand uses. they can be exercises that you actually play on the guitar or anything that involves weight liffting of some sort. i want to work those muscles because that's the most crucial aspect to first playing the guitar as a beginner. without that i can't even work on anything else, like accuracy and speed.

you know those little squeezy stress ball things?
those are amazing. when i started playing guitar, i could hardly press down the strings.
butt after a few weeks of doing the stress squeeze thing, it helped a lot.
