I’m 14. 5′5-5′6 and 134lbs, I gained 17lbs this year and I’m not so happy about it. I was wondering if I rode my bike every Monday for 30mins-an hour. Rollerblade every Tuesday for an hour. Walked every Wednesday for an hour with my dogs or a friend. Thursday; run for 20-30mins. Fridays; Pilates for an hour. Saturday- rest day or volleyball, short walk with dogs. Sunday- rest day or a 45 minute workout video. If I do that for a year, would I lose 10-14lbs? Of course, I will be eating healthy too. And I might do dance classes twice a week. Also, I go to physical therapy twice a week for my back, so I can’t do any major hard-core workouts.
I will still be exercising after a year to maintain my weight. Just not as serious. And I probably will mix some exercises up so I won’t get so bored with that plan. I would like to lose 10-20lbs.
All these answers are so good! How am I gonna pick the best answer. :]

exercise 30 minutes per day is rec. also cut out back on junk food or cut it out all together. Your body is still developing. In one year you should naturally slim down. My son and my niece both did around age 16.

Yes you will lose that weight in a year. It would probably be more like 3 months. An average person can lose 2 lbs/week on a healthy diet and cardio. Diet is key though! You can have about 1500-1700 calories a day and just do cardio 3x/week for about 30mins to an hour and lose that weight. Remember the first 10 lbs are the easiest to lose then it slows up a bit.
