I think 200 calories a day is a little bit to low. 2,000 is the average, so you shouldn't eat less than 1,000.

You will send your body into starvation mode on that diet, and your metabolism will never be the same again. Not to mention the malnutrition and serious risk you'll be putting your body at. Please don't try that.

There are healthy diets out there that are designed to help you loose 2 pounds per week. In 12 weeks, that's 24 pounds. Why not try that? Pick any calorie-restricted diet — no less than 1200 a day — and stick to it. The Zone, Weight Watchers, South Beach, Atkins… Or just keep a food diary and count calories. There are plenty of resources online to help you figure out about how many calories you need and to help you with starting a workout routine.

Crash diets are meant to help you loose a few pounds over a *very* short period of time — like 1 or 2 weeks. They are very unhealthy for you if you stick to them long term.

      Good luck.

Of course that you will be losing some weight,if you stick to the plan.It-s pure logic, right?
But,the truth is,when you aggressively try to fight your body needs(like hunger),your body will eventually always win. So,even if you are doing it for a while,no matter how strong you are,you will:
1.Either see that you were mistaken, and that that regime makes daily life almost impossible
2.Or,decide to stick to it,no matter what, and end up with an eating disorder.
But,as I am probably not much older then you(or at all),I will respect your question-it's your life after all:
      So,If you need,let's say 1700 kcal a day,when you're moderately active,that means need a 11900 kcal a week,and with this diet(if you really stick to it)-you will only have 3000 kcal a week,which means a 8900 kcal deficit per week.As you,in order to lose 30 lbs,need to spend 105000 kcal,that means that(without any extra physical activity,just by sticking to the diet),you'll need 11.8 weeks to lose the weight you want.That's about 3 months.
But,please consider that after finishing this diet, your hair will probably be falling off, your metabolism will be awful, and you'll put weight on much faster when you finish it,and start eating again normally.Just remember all the Hollywood stars that were "fit" and slim at one moment, and than flabby and fattish just months after.
None of the stars who look really good(for an longer period of time-let's say Eva Longoria) have done it over night. And all the slow, hard work really, really pays off.
Hope you make the decision that's best for you!
