I heard that if you exercise on an empty stomach your body burns fat instead of carbs. (which would be what it would burn if you exercised after a meal, assuming you consumed carbs because during exercise carbs is the first thing that is burned) Is this true? If it is I understand that even after a meal you could still burn fat because you'd burn it after you burn all the carbs..but that would take longer. Also, if this is true, then is it better to exercise on an empty stomach to make you lose weight since you're burning fat? PLEASE HELP ME! NO ONE'S ANSWERING MY QUESTIONS AND I NEED HEEEEEEELPP! thank you
but then would that mean when you sleep your body burns off all the carbs..? this isnt making sense to me..

Yes…it IS true. When the body has no readily available carbs to use as fuel, it does draw on body fat for the needed energy. I always try to do my cardio in the morning for this reason. But I DO need a couple of whole whaet crackers or at least a piece of toast….my stomach gets queezy if I don't.
